RESPONSIBILITIES
Alex Laumans joined Trustmoore as Head of Compliance in April 2019 and was appointed to his current role as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in January 2021.

FOCUS
His focus is to connect the compliance department globally and to establish an effective framework for managing compliance and other operational risks. He ensures that all policies and procedures remain in line with international regulatory standards while supporting the firm´s continuous growth.

EDUCATION
Alex completed his law degree at Leiden University in the Netherlands and his master’s in corporate law at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. He also has a Master of Finance MBA from the Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
After completing his legal studies, Alex worked in various senior legal, compliance and governance roles at large financial service providers including General Electric, UBS and Swiss Re. His last role before joining Trustmoore was as Senior Legal Counsel at Swiss Re, managing corporate governance in the reinsurance markets across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

Having lived in Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Milan and Zurich Alex is accustomed to working in an international environment and enjoys the multi-cultural community at Trustmoore. For him, Trustmoore is a unique organization that values enthusiasm and fun at work as well as professionalism.
