RESPONSIBILITIES
Jan Arie de Graaf joined Trustmoore’s Amsterdam office in November 2021 as Senior Compliance Officer, Structured Finance & Capital Markets.

FOCUS
He focuses on compliance for Trustmoore’s Structured Finance & Capital Markets business globally, helping it to grow and establish its international footprint in compliance with regulations across its different jurisdictions.

EDUCATION
Jan Arie earned his master’s degree in ‘international financial economics’ at the University of Amsterdam.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Jan Arie was an algorithmic trader for 10 years, working at several proprietary trading firms and, latterly, as Head of Trading for derivatives trading company All Options, based in Zug, Switzerland.

He also founded a proprietary trading firm in Amsterdam, trading arbitrage strategies in exchange-listed instruments and complex derivatives on multiple international exchanges.

His career in compliance began in 2015 when he worked on a project at Rabobank in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Before joining Trustmoore, he was a compliance officer at Kempen and NIBC Bank, handling compliance matters for the Sales & Trading, Structured Products, Research, Corporate Finance, M&A, and Equity and Debt Capital Markets departments.
