RESPONSIBILITIES
Katya Mihaylova joined our team in Bulgaria in February 2021 as a Legal and Compliance Officer. Her role later evolved to that of Legal Counsel and Group Data Protection Officer (DPO).
She is responsible for managing internal legal matters and overseeing global data protection and privacy compliance across the organization. 

FOCUS|
Katya is based in our Centre of Excellence in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she focuses on strengthening legal expertise and driving the implementation of privacy by design and by default across the organization globally. 

EDUCATION 
Katya obtained her master’s degree in Law from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Trustmoore Katya was group in-house lawyer for a private investment and advisory firm and formed part of one the biggest law firms in Bulgaria – Penkov, Markov and Partners. Her last role was head of the legal department at Paynetics and Phyre, a Bulgarian e-money institution and successful fintech startup.
