RESPONSIBILITIES
Carla van den Berg joined the Amsterdam team as Global Tax Director in February 2024.
She is responsible for our tax services, especially corporate income tax and European and International taxation.

FOCUS
She focuses on expanding our tax team globally and increasing the tax services for our clients regarding EU tax law developments such as DAC6, ATAD2, and ATAD3, as well as FATCA/CRS.

EDUCATION
Carla obtained her master’s degree in tax law from the University of Amsterdam. She has specialized in European and International tax through two subsequent master’s degrees from Queen Mary College in London and a collaboration between the University of Amsterdam and the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD).
Additionally, she passed her Master Trust from the HQ Academy and is a member of the Tax Integrity Commission of Holland Quaestor (HQ), the association of Dutch trust offices. She assisted in the drafting of the current Tax Integrity Guidelines.
Carla is also the President of ACG Holland, an M&A middle market deal maker association.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Carla started her career at EY as a tax advisor in Real Estate and M&A in Amsterdam and London. She also fulfilled roles as a Professional Support Lawyer with Loyens & Loeff and Houthoff in Amsterdam. Before joining Trustmoore, she held the position of Tax Director at Vistra Amsterdam.
