RESPONSIBILITIES 
Katya Mihaylova joined our team in Bulgaria in February 2021 as a Legal and Compliance Officer. 
She is responsible for local legal, and compliance matters and forms part of our global compliance team. 

FOCUS
Katya is based in our Centre of Excellence in Sofia, Bulgaria. She focuses on building expertise in local legal matters as well as broadening her knowledge of global compliance issues, processes and related systems. 

EDUCATION 
Katya obtained her master’s degree in Law from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Trustmoore Katya was group in-house lawyer for a private investment and advisory firm and formed part of one the biggest law firms in Bulgaria – Penkov, Markov and Partners. Her last role was head of the legal department at Paynetics and Phyre, a Bulgarian e-money institution and successful fintech startup.
