RESPONSIBILITIES
Petar Mihaylov joined Trustmoore Bulgaria in August 2020 as the Head of Compliance at our Centre of Excellence (COE). He was appointed as a Managing Director of our Sofia office in January 2022 and manages the office operations as part of the management team.

FOCUS
He focuses on legal and compliance matters to ensure that all business operations are performed in an effective and compliant environment. As Head of Compliance COE, he is responsible for the centralized compliance services.

EDUCATION
Petar studied international and European law at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, specializing in international criminal law. He completed the ACAMS Certified Global Sanctions Specialist course on international sanctions and trade restrictions.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Petar has over 12 years of professional experience in the legal and compliance area. He started his career as a legal advisor in tax and corporate restructuring at a Sofia based law firm, focusing on tax law, tax restructuring and DTTs.
Before joining our team, he established a consultancy firm, providing legal and tax advice to local and international clients.
