Marketing Director

RESPONSIBILITIES
Pieter Ottevanger initially joined the Trustmoore Group as a marketing consultant in December 2019 when he was hired to develop our brand and marketing strategy. In January 2021, he moved into his current role as Marketing Director, based in Amsterdam.

FOCUS
He is responsible for communicating Trustmoore’s story and culture, ensuring that our company is known for its ‘peace of mind’ corporate services that help clients succeed.

EDUCATION
Through his studies in Utrecht, Paris and London, Pieter has developed strong expertise in value-based marketing and human communication, and their implementation for both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) approaches. His qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications and brand management from Utrecht Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in ‘brand management’ from ESGCI, the Paris business school.

Pieter enjoys reading the latest sociology and marketing articles and literature to ensure his knowledge is kept up to date.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Pieter’s early work experience includes time at big network agencies such as Ogilvy and DDB. This helped him create a solid foundation of marketing and communication skills, both in traditional and digital media but especially the latter.

In his subsequent work as a freelance marketeer, staying abreast of the latest developments was paramount to adding value to the different projects he managed. He worked with many different companies in his time as a consultant, but a common theme was helping them to grow to their next phase through sustainable brand and marketing plans. Whether the clients were B2C-focused startups or B2B-focused scaleups, his aim was always to make sure marketing was viewed as an investment rather than a cost.
